Rachel Delaney is a Senior Occupational Therapist who specialises in the treatment and rehabilitation of acute injury and elective surgery to the hand and wrist.

Rachel provides specialist assessment and rehabilitation programmes following traumatic injuries /surgery and chronic conditions.

Rachel has a particular interest in sports injuries and has treated many elite athletes from professional rugby and football clubs and has supported commonwealth and Olympic athletes during their rehabilitation from injury.

Academically Rachel is an Honorary Senior lecturer at Salford University and also lectures on the hand module at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Rachel has published extensively on joint replacement in the hand and has presented nationally and internationally.

Rachel works in the NHS at Wrightington Hospital, Wigan and privately at the Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle and the Spire Cheshire Hospital, Stretton.

Rachel is member of the British Association of Hand Therapists.
